It's...the most...

...wonderful time, of the year.

I absolutely love that my big girl is all about giving gifts this year.  She made hats for her cousins, and wrapped them herself.

She had fun watching them open them over the weekend, and loved that she kept Rugger's a secret from him.  He complained every night "my head gets so cold at night, so cold that I have to bury it under my pillows...wish I had a hat".  Oh, seriously!

She was torn, you could see it, but she never let him in on the secret that she had it made and wrapped already.  Funny stuff!

Every year since before Rugger was born, we've gone around town looking at Christmas lights.  We always eat popcorn balls (from Colby Ridge) and we drink hot chocolate.

It's not always pretty at the end.  The sticky marshmallow mess combined with the chance of sugary drink spills...but, totally worth it.

Usually several children have fallen asleep by the time we get home and we just throw them in bed, sticky mess and all.

I love that time of quiet driving, once everyone's come down from the initial sugar shock and being up past bedtime excitement.

'Tis the season!

Choosing to love,
Becky
